Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Bio

Nicole Sistek is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 16 years of nursing experience and a genuine passion for helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. Her clinical background includes emergency medicine, preoperative and post-anesthesia care, interventional radiology, and psychiatric nursing. These experiences have shaped her ability to remain calm in complex situations, look at the full clinical picture, and connect with patients in a warm and approachable way.

Nicole takes a holistic and collaborative approach to psychiatric care. She enjoys looking beyond surface-level symptoms and exploring the many factors that may be contributing to how a person feels, including physical health, nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, stress, and personal history. She believes the best treatment plans are created with patients, not simply for them, and works to develop individualized plans that feel practical, thoughtful, and aligned with each patient’s goals.

Her long-standing interest in strength training, nutrition, and whole-body wellness naturally influences the way she approaches mental health. Nicole also completed Pilates instructor training through Pilates Sports Center, further expanding her understanding of movement, body awareness, and the connection between physical and emotional well-being. She enjoys helping patients recognize that meaningful progress can come from a combination of evidence-based treatment, healthy routines, and small, sustainable changes. Outside of work, Nicole is a mom to twins and enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She loves staying active, learning, and taking deep dives into the “why” behind mental health symptoms. Her upbeat, down-to-earth style helps create a comfortable space where patients can feel heard, ask questions, and take an active role in their care.
